Interstellar’s Universal Wallet is a regulated digital asset platform that enables licensed FSIs to convert fiat into stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, and to securely hold, transfer, and redeem them on-chain. Universal Wallet addresses the needs of four key stakeholders through dedicated portals:

1. Issuer Portal

The Issuer Portal enables licensed FSIs to:
  • Onboard and manage authorized distributors (commercial banks, financial institutions)
  • Mint new tokens with multi-signature approval controls
  • Monitor total token supply and distribution
  • Define KYC levels and transaction limits
  • Track system-wide activity and compliance
New tokens are issued exclusively to authorized distributors, maintaining controlled distribution and regulatory oversight.

2. Distributor Portal

The Distributor Portal empowers commercial banks and authorized financial institutions to:
  • Manage multiple branches and teller locations
  • Process cash-in operations (convert physical cash to digital tokens)
  • Process cash-out operations (convert digital tokens to physical cash)
  • Onboard new users and merchants with KYC verification
  • Monitor and manage token float across branches
  • Generate API keys for system integration
  • Track commissions and reconcile daily operations
Distributors serve as the critical bridge between the physical and digital economy.

3. Merchant Portal

The Merchant Portal allows businesses and organizations to:
  • Accept digital token payments via short codes and QR codes
  • Manage multiple branches and point-of-sale tills
  • Generate unique payment identifiers for each location
  • Request cash-out through authorized distributors
  • Access real-time sales analytics and transaction history
  • Integrate via API for e-commerce and automated payments
  • Export financial reports for accounting and reconciliation
Merchants include government agencies, retailers, airlines, utilities, and any business accepting payments.

4. End User Wallet

The End User Wallet provides citizens with:
  • Simple, mobile-first interface for everyday transactions
  • Peer-to-peer transfers using mobile numbers
  • QR code scanning for merchant payments
  • Cash-in and cash-out via nearby distributors
  • Real-time transaction history and receipts
  • Multi-language support (i18n ready)
  • Secure authentication with PIN and biometrics
  • Tiered KYC levels for appropriate transaction limits
